Dave Mowry found NAMI while struggling with his bipolar disorder, and it changed his life.
Dave began working at NAMI in 2011 as a Peer Support Specialist. He is currently co-executive director of NAMI of Washington County.
Dave is the author of the mental health bestseller OMG That’s Me! Bipolar Disorder, Depression, Anxiety, Panic Attacks and more… available on Amazon in print, audiobook, and ebook.
Shelley
Operations Manager - PSS
Shelley enjoys reading, movies and spending time on the coast of Oregon. She has her own mental health challenges and finds sharing her experience with others rewarding. She believes in the WashCoNAMI Mission: “To improve the lives of those affected by mental illness through support, education and advocacy.” She can truly say, she loves her job.
Clay
Facilitator Coordinator/PSS
Clay has worn many hats in his life. Father, soldier, trained chef, contractor, artist. He now wears the Peer Support Specialist hat proudly. He finds communicating, connecting and sharing experiences with his peers extremely rewarding. Learning from his own experiences that mental health is a journey and not a single destination has guided him to this space in his life at NAMI, supporting and empowering others in their own personal journeys.
Cassidy
Director of Community Outreach
Cassidy Quinn is NAMI Washington County's Director of Community Outreach. She works with our Parent Program, planning Parenting and Mental Health events, doing Ending the Silence presentations in schools, and coming up with new ways to build communities that know how to support youth mental health. She also creates content for all of our social media channels, facilitates support groups, and you'll sometimes see her pop up on TV talking about NAMI. When she's not working at NAMI, she's hosting her podcast, Mentally Together, teaching mindfulness, snowboarding, paddle-boarding, or cuddling with her dog, Summit.
